Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about participating in a CodeClimb cohort.
How much time do I need to commit each week?
Most cohorts require approximately 6 to 10 hours per week. This includes 2–3 hours of live interactive sessions and 4–7 hours of hands-on coding, repo tasks, and portfolio development.
What happens if I miss a live session?
Every single live session is recorded in HD and automatically uploaded to your student portal within hours. You can watch anytime, adjust playback speeds, and leave questions for your mentor.
What are the computer or technical requirements?
A reliable computer (Windows, macOS, or Linux) with at least 8GB RAM and a stable internet connection for Google Meet streaming. We provide setup guides for all required software, Node.js, Git, and Docker.
How do mentors review my assignments?
You push your code to your cohort repository or submit your task link via the student dashboard. Mentors review your code line-by-line, leaving comments on architecture, readability, and performance before issuing your evaluation.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Mobile Money across East Africa (MTN MoMo and Airtel Money) as well as standard Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards through our secure payment gateway.
Is CodeClimb suitable for absolute beginners?
Yes! We offer beginner tracks specifically structured to establish fundamentals step-by-step with patient mentors, as well as advanced cohorts for intermediate developers looking to master senior architecture.
